Botox is an FDA approved prescribed treatment for the temporary correction and prevention of various cosmetic issues by relaxing the treated muscles which are responsible for repetitive movements. Many describe Botox as a miracle treatment for the reduction of fine lines and wrinkles.
Most treatments take only 30 minutes or less to perform and have minimal to no downtime. Results are natural looking and literally take years off of your face.
Botox is most commonly used to treat Brow Frown Lines, Forehead Worry Lines, Crow’s Feet, and Bunny Lines at the top of the nose. Additionally, Botox can be used in the Masseter (chewing)Muscles, to help sculpt a round face and to reduce the symptoms of TMJ or chronic headaches.
The process is fairly quick and simple, involving the carefully placed injection of small amounts of botox to targeted facial muscles. Each injection feels like a tiny pin prick and the overall experience is very tolerable. No numbing is required.
Although some worry about looking too frozen when getting Botox, this is not necessary. We can adjust the doses to ensure that you look natural. The beauty of Botox is that you can still have facial expressions, you just don’t have to be stuck with them all day long!
If the totally frozen and smooth look is what you’re looking for, we can do that too! It’s up to you.
Botox takes about 11-14 days to completely take effect, and results will last from 4-6 months. Botox is the perfect “treat yourself” service to receive a few weeks prior to any special event or occasion.
If you think Botox is right for you, you may also be interested in trying Dermal Fillers. Whereas Botox and other neuromodulators relax or paralyze the muscles, fillers are used to simply add volume and to sculpt the features, instantly lifting and erasing years. Dermal fillers work wonders in conjunction with Botox to quickly and easily turn back time.
Dermal Fillers AND Botox are what we use to achieve the instant and very gratifying results often referred to as the “Liquid facelift”. Feel free to check out Dermal Fillers page for more information.

Botox FAQs
What is Botox?
Botox is a neurotoxin that paralyzes the targeted muscle to treating fine lines and wrinkles as well as migraines.
How does Botox work?
Botox actually blocks signals from the nerves to the muscles of the treated areas. Within 1-2 weeks post injection with Botox, the targeted muscles can no longer contract.
What does a Botox treatment feel like?
Botox injections feel like tiny targeted bee stings.
Does Botox hurt?
Although some areas tend to be more uncomfortable than others, most patients find that they barely feel anything except the tiny prick of the needle. Many say they don’t even feel it at all.
Is Botox safe?
Botox is very safe for most individuals with minimal side effects and downtime.
Is there any downtime after Botox?
We recommend that you avoid exercise, lying down or massaging the area for the first 4 hours post treatment with Botox. Additionally, there may be slight redness or swelling at the injection sights for a few hours post treatment as well.
Can I get some Botox before a special event or travel?
It is recommended to receive Botox 2 weeks before your event or travel, as it can take up to 2 weeks for Botox to reach maximum effectiveness.
Who should not receive Botox?
Patients with known Botulinum Toxin hypersensitivity, neurological diseases, peripheral nerve disorders, progressive muscle weakness, infections of the lungs or decreased lung function are not candidates for Botox injections. Pregnant or lactating women are also not good candidates for Botox injections.
Are there any side effects from Botox?
Most patients experience no side effects. However, in rare instances, headaches following injections may last up to a one week. Slight Bruising and pinpoint bleeding, as well as minor pain, redness and swelling are possible at injection sights. If side effects are experienced, they usually subside within 10-14 hours post treatment.
How many Botox treatments will I need?
The effects of Botox generally last between 3-6 months. Patients generally receive one treatment every 3-6 months as needed. However, in some instances, follow up treatments may be necessary 2 weeks post injection to correct asymmetry or lingering lines and wrinkles.
When should I expect to see results from Botox?
Although many patients swear they have results on the same day as the treatment, Botox takes a minimum of 11-14 days to fully take effect. When clients feel they need more Botox to correct an issue, we will always wait until 2 weeks post treatment to reevaluate and see if more Botox is actually needed.
Dysport FAQs
Is Dysport different from Botox?
Dysport and Botox are both made from botulinum toxin type A and have the same effect of blocking the release of Acetylcholine and preventing the treated muscles from contracting. However, the doses given are not the same. Typically, the ratio for Dysport is 3 times the amount used when treating with Botox. This is the reason for the lower per unit price for Dysport.
Does Dysport last as long as Botox?
Absolutely! In most cases Dysport, like Botox, will last anywhere from 3-4 months. In some cases, where the individual has been treated regularly for a period of time, Dysport may last up to 6 months.
Is Dysport FDA approved?
Yes, Dysport is fully FDA approved.
For all other questions about Dysport, please refer to the Botox FAQs, as the information is the same.
If you want to look your best at that dreaded class reunion, Dermal Fillers may be just the ticket!
Dermal Fillers are a safe and FDA approved way to “volumize” and lift various parts of the face and body that may have lost fullness over time. Dermal Fillers are also frequently used to increase the size and plumpness of the lips as well.
Dermal Fillers are made of a soft gel-like substance which is primarily composed of Hyaluronic Acid (HA). HA is a substance which naturally occurs in all cells of the body, and is the “magic ingredient” that keeps our cells plump and hydrated. It has the ability to attract moisture and is able to hold 1000 times its weight in water.
When receiving Dermal Fillers, our injectable specialists will consult with you first to discuss your areas of concern. Then, you will be given a careful evaluation to assess the balance of your features and the amount of deficit that needs to be replenished with Dermal Filler to achieve your goals.
Once the treatment plan has been agreed upon, the areas to be treated will be cleansed and numbed with medical grade numbing cream and then the fun begins.
We use Dermal Fillers to treat the following concerns:

Dermal Fillers FAQs
What are Injectable Dermal Fillers?
Injectable Dermal Fillers are made of a gel-like substance, generally made of Hyaluronic acid which is found naturally in the cells of the body. As we age, we lose volume in our faces and other areas. By injecting the areas of volume loss with dermal fillers, we can literally plump those areas up and produce a younger, fuller, more lifted appearance.
The results look very natural and merely enhance, rather than change, your appearance.
Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers literally hold 1,000 times their weight in water, and actually attract moisture to keep you looking youthful and volumized for a good period of time.
How do Injectable Dermal Fillers work?
Once we have consulted with you and given an honest evaluation of what can be accomplished, the fun begins. After numbing for about 20 minutes ,the dermal fillers will be injected into the areas that are in need of volume enhancement and/or rejuvenation. The gel like fillers will be somewhat pliable upon first being injected and can be manipulated for best overall effect.
Most Dermal fillers contain lidocaine to help make the process more comfortable, but numbing is always provided prior to injection as well. The highly trained and artfully skillful injector will recommend a certain number of Filler syringes to meet your personal needs.
How long does an Injectable Dermal Filler treatment take?
We generally numb the areas to be treated for about 20 minutes. Most dermal filler treatments take between 15-45 minutes depending on how many issues you are addressing.
What kind of results will I see after getting Injectable Dermal Fillers?
Dermal fillers can reduce almost any fold, wrinkle or crease! We can define your jawline, build volume in the cheeks, increase the dimensions of your facial structure, as well as plump and define the shape of your lips.
We aim for a natural looking result every time. One of the best things fillers can do is to give a naturally lifted look which makes you look both rested and younger.
How soon will I see results after getting Injectable Dermal Fillers?
With injectable dermal fillers, results are typically seen instantly. However, the initial results may appear somewhat exaggerated due to slight swelling. Lips tend to swell more than other areas. Final results may take a few days to see, once the filler has set in and the swelling has subsided.
How many treatments of Injectable Dermal Filler will I need?
Injectable Dermal Fillers generally last anywhere from 6-10 months, depending on what type of Injectable Dermal Fillers are used and where they are placed. Areas with more movement, such as the mouth, tend to require more frequent treatments.
Additionally, as we do not want to overfill any areas, it is generally a good idea to have the initial treatment, then allow any swelling to subside, then reevaluate to see if another session is needed to provide the desired results.
What does an Injectable Dermal Filler treatment feel like?
All areas that are treated with Injectable Dermal Fillers are numbed prior to the session. Generally, there is an awareness that the needle is poking, but very little in the way of discomfort. The lips are a more sensitive area and can be somewhat more uncomfortable for some.
Will my results look natural after getting Injectable Dermal Fillers?
Yes, definitely!! Our Highly trained registered nurses know just the right approach to make each person look their best in a way that makes people think you simply look better in a natural and undetectable way.
What areas can be treated with Injectable Dermal Fillers?
Injectable Dermal Fillers have come a long way, baby! We can treat many areas, here are the most popular options:
- Cheeks
- Chin
- Frown Lines
- Hands
- Jawline
- Lip Lines
- Lips
- Marionette Lines
- Nose
- Under Eyes
Are Injectable Dermal Fillers something men can do too?
Absolutely! Men have discovered that looking younger helps to maintain confidence both in the workplace and everywhere else. For some, it is simply a way to get a quick lift or look refreshed. For other men, it is about strengthening the jawline or chin. No one will know why you look better, and we’ll never tell!
Who is the ideal candidate for Injectable Dermal Fillers?
The best candidate is anyone with a naturally occurring loss of volume that needs to be restored. Additionally, those whose lips have always been thin will find that we can help. Injectable Dermal Fillers are appropriate for nearly anyone from their 20’s upward.
Are Injectable Dermal Fillers permanent?
Injectable Dermal Fillers are temporary, and will slowly fade over time. Most Injectable Dermal Fillers will last from 6-10 months. There are some denser fillers, such as Voluma, which last up to 2 years.
Are Injectable Dermal Fillers safe?
Yes, treatment with Injectable Dermal Fillers is carried out with great attention to sanitation, comfort and safety. All Injectable Dermal Filler products are FDA cleared for safety and efficacy as well.
Is there any downtime after getting Injectable Dermal Fillers?
Some mild to moderate downtime may be experienced such as swelling and bruising post treatment. Generally, all swelling will subside within 24-48 hours. However, in cases of greater sensitivity, the swelling may last longer.
Who should not get Injectable Dermal Fillers?
- Those who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Those with an infection at or near the desired treatment site.
- Those with bleeding disorders.
- Those with autoimmune diseases.
Are there any side effects after receiving Injectable Dermal Fillers?
Possible side effects of Injectable Dermal Fillers include , but are not limited to: Redness at injection sites, swelling and bruising. tenderness at the injection sites is also a possibility. The good news is that these possible side effects are temporary and rarely last for that 24-48 hours.
Are there any pre-treatment instructions for Injectable Dermal Fillers?
- Avoid alcohol for 24 hours prior to getting Injectable Dermal Fillers.
- Avoid getting excess in areas to be treated.
Are there any post treatment instructions for Injectable Dermal Fillers?
- Avoid working out strenuously for 24 hours.
- Avoid activities that will cause sweating for 24 hours.
- Avoid alcohol for 24 hours post treatment.
- Do not lie down with the treated areas against a surface or pillow for 24 hours.
Can I get Injectable Dermal Fillers before a special event or travel?
Regarding special events: We recommend that you receive your Injectable Dermal Fillers 1-2 weeks prior to any special event so that any swelling, bruising will have completely subsided. Although swelling and bruising generally only last 24-48 hours, there is the possibility that minor swelling will persist for up to 2 weeks, and the fillers will not look completely natural until all swelling has subsided.
Regarding travel: Travel is fine even the same day as Injectable Dermal Fillers are received. Keep in mind that you may be swollen and there is the possibility of bruising, especially on the day of injection with Injectable Dermal Fillers.
What happens to the Injectable Dermal Filler over time?
Injectable Dermal Fillers are made of Hyaluronic acid, which is a naturally occurring substance in the cells of the body. In fact, hyaluronic acid is what keeps our cells hydrated and plump. Over time, our bodies generate less and less hyaluronic acid. This is one of the key reasons why our cells appear to age and look less full and plump over the years.
Why do some Injectable Dermal Fillers last longer than others?
Because Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in the body, it is slowly absorbed and excreted over a period of time. Fillers usually last from 6-9 months. Some will even last up to 2 years. The reason some fillers last longer is the molecular structure of the individual fillers.
Some fillers are soft and very pliable. These ”softer” fillers are designed for areas such as under eyes or lips. They produce a soft result that closely matches the natural look and feel that is desired. These “softer “ fillers have less dense molecular structure and are absorbed by the body more quickly.
Other fillers are “heavier”, and are designed for sculpting the cheekbones, chin or jawline. These “heavier” fillers are somewhat thicker and less pliable. They have a denser molecular structure and are absorbed by the body more slowly.
Additionally, those who are more rigorous with workouts will find that their fillers will last a shorter length of time. And, those fillers placed in areas of greater movement, such as the lips, will also last a shorter duration of time.
For Cystic Acne and Ingrown Hairs
Stop the pop! If you are having issues with cystic acne or ingrown hairs anywhere on your body, we can help. Attempting to pop deep, painful cysts can lead to painful inflammation and scarring. Luckily there is a solution that is quick, simple and relatively painless.
A cortisone shot can generally bring down the swelling and eliminate the discomfort of cystic acne or ingrown hairs. Most patients will find that just one cortisone shot will smooth out the bump within 24-72 hours.
This simple treatment is perfect for those who need to look their best for a meeting, special event or just general everyday living. It really works and can help you feel more confident about your appearance.
Cortisone shots are perfect for every skin type and age is not a factor either. The whole process takes only minutes, so you can easily slip in and get treated on your lunch hour.
Although appointments are appreciated, you may feel free to walk in for this treatment whenever you need to, and once medically cleared and treated, you are ready to face the world again.
Cortisone Shots Pricing
Single shot: $45
2-5 shots (multiple cysts): $75
6-10 shots (multiple cysts): $95
*Please note that although one cortisone shot is generally enough to completely diminish the inflammation associated with an acne cyst or ingrown hair, in some instances more than one shot will be needed at an additional charge.
*When purchasing the 2-5 or 6-10 shot treatments, each shot only treats one individual cyst. Also, the multiple shot purchase must be used in one appointment. For example, if you purchase the 2-5 shots, but only use 3 during that appointment, you may not return asking to use an additional 2 at another time.
*In rare instances the cortisone shot may cause a divot or dimple at the injection site. This will resolve on its own within 4-6 months. Or, if you desire, we may temporarily fill the divot (one time only) with saline at no charge. This is a risk associated with this treatment, and if actual filler is desired to smooth the spot, there is an additional charge.
Please see the FAQs for more details about Cortisone Injections
We do not offer packages for Cortisone Injections.
Cortisone Shots FAQs
What is a Cortisone Shot, and what can a Cortisone Shot be used to treat?
Cortisone is a steroid that reduces inflammation when injected into an ingrown hair or raised acne cyst. The redness, irritation and inflammation is generally reduced by the cortisone within a 24 hour span or less.
How does a Cortisone Shot treatment work?
The area to be treated with the Cortisone Shot will first be carefully evaluated by one of our highly trained registered nurses who will make sure that we are dealing an ingrown hair or acne cyst. Once approved for treatment by a nurse practitioner, the specialist will inject cortisone into the base of the cyst that has formed. The cortisone will bring down the swelling within 24-48 hours. This is a very popular treatment for those who find themselves with an acne cyst right before a special event. Kybella FAQs
What is Kybella?
Kybella, also known as Deoxycholic Acid, is a chemical injection treatment used to destroy and PERMANENTLY remove pockets of fat from the body.
Kybella is the first and only FDA approved injectable treatment to reduce fat in the submental(under chin) area. Results are generally seen in 2-4 treatments, for most people, depending on where they begin and what their goals are.
Clinical trials for Kybella have shown that 79% of patients reported an increased satisfaction with the appearance of their chin and face which improved their self perception and made them feel more attractive overall.
How does Kybella work?
The active ingredient in Kybella is deoxycholic acid, a molecule which occurs naturally in the body, which aids in the breakdown and absorption of fat cells. When injected into areas such as the “double chin”, KYBELLA literally destroys fat cells, eliminating their ability to store or accumulate more fat.
What does a Kybella treatment feel like?
First, the area being treated will be numbed with medical strength topical numbing cream. Then, after approximately 20 minutes, a grid of tiny injections of Kybella will be administered in the treatment site. Due to the numbing, the tiny injections are very tolerable. The Kybella(Deoxycholic acid) that is being injected will begin to sting almost immediately, and a strong burning sensation will most likely last from 20-30 minutes post treatment.
The treated area will begin to swell within a few minutes of being injected, and then become swollen within a couple of hours. This swelling and some moderate soreness will persist most likely for a couple of weeks before subsiding.
Does Kybella hurt?
Stinging and burning during the injections and for approximately 30 minutes post treatment are to be expected. A strong burning sensation will follow the initial injections as well. Fairly extreme swelling and mild soreness are to be expected following each Kybella treatment.
Is Kybella safe?
Kybella is a very safe FDA approved treatment which is only performed by highly trained registered nurses, nurse practitioners or doctors.
Is there any downtime after a Kybella treatment?
Yes, there will be some noticeable swelling for 2-3 weeks post treatment with Kybella. We recommend wearing scarves or turtlenecks post treatment of the submentum (under chin) area.
Can I get Kybella before travel or a special event?
Travelling post treatment with Kybella is generally not an issue. However, we recommend that Kybella patients plan their treatment at least one month prior to any special event in order to allow enough time for the swelling to subside.
Who is not a good candidate for Kybella?
Kybella is not recommended for pregnant or lactating women, and may not be injected in any site where there is any infection present.
Are there any side effects from Kybella?
Yes, there will be swelling for a 2-3 weeks post treatment with Kybella. This swelling is not generally anyone’s favorite part of post treatment recovery, but it is necessary for the success of the treatment.
Why is there swelling post treatment with Kybella?
The swelling that occurs post treatment with Kybella is due to the process of fat cell destruction and subsequent removal of fat from the treatment area by the lymphatic drainage system.
How many Kybella treatments will I need for best results?
Generally, Kybella patients will require 2-3 treatments to obtain optimal results. Some need more, some need less. However, each patient tends to react slightly differently, and the treatment plan is always created on a case by case basis.
How often should I receive Kybella treatments?
If more than one Kybella treatment is required, we recommend spacing them 6-7 weeks apart.
PRP Hair Restoration is a treatment that uses the therapeutic golden liquid known as Platelet Rich Plasma as a means to stimulate new hair growth and to dramatically improve current hair follicle performance.
PRP Hair Restoration FAQs
How does the process of PRP Hair Restoration Work?
Using a sterile blood drawing technique, the blood is drawn into several test tubes which are then put into a centrifuge which separates the red blood cells from the white healing blood cells. The white blood cells are found in the clear golden liquid portion of the blood known as Platelet Rich Plasma, or PRP.
The Golden PRP is filled with the patient’s own naturally occurring growth factors in a highly concentrated form. These growth factors are the elements that stimulate healthy hair and skin growth.
The PRP is then injected into areas of the scalp where the hair appears to be thinning. This process is helpful for both men and women who are experiencing hair loss or general hair thinning.
How Comfortable is a PRP Hair Restoration Treatment?
The drawing of blood is generally very tolerable; the only discomfort is the initial needle stick. The injection process is generally the most challenging, as multiple injections into the scalp are required. Post-treatment, the injection sites may remain sore for up to 24 hours.
However, let us say that the results have been tremendous.
How many treatments are required to see maximum results?
The number of treatments needed to achieve optimal results will vary from person to person based on where they started in regard to the level of hair loss they were experiencing.
